Are there programmable keys to use as shortcuts?

Yes, you can reassign any of the four directional keys, as well as the Messaging, Camera, and Contacts keys to open any option you prefer.

Reassigning Keys

Long press the key for a few seconds until the list of available options pops up > choose an option from the list > select Reassign to reprogram the button to open your preferred option.
