Your phone will notify you when an update is available for your device. Release notes are included with each update.
Installing updates
To install updates, you will need to connect the phone to Wi-Fi or you can download using mobile data if you have a fast data connection.
Press the blue button Check for updates, if there is an update available, tap the Install button beside the update you wish to install.
You can choose if you want Updates to be installed automatically in the Settings.
Optimize Apps
This runs an app optimization process that can help make your phone faster. This will run automatically after the phone installs any firmware updates. Ideally, the phone should not be used while this is running.
Settings
- Auto-install software updates: Installs updates automatically as they become available.
- Notify for software updates: Choose if you wish to receive notifications when new updates are available.
- Early access updates: Allows you to get preview features and the latest updates first.
