How to import contacts

Contacts can be transferred from your current phone to a Sunbeam phone using a variety of methods. Some of the methods mentioned here may not be possible, depending on the type of device being used to supply the contacts to the Sunbeam phone.
SD Card
To transfer contacts using a microSD card, copy the contents from the (Provider) phone being replaced to a microSD card placed within the phone. When all the desired contact information has been copied to the microSD card, remove the MicroSD card from the Provider phone and install it in the Sunbeam phone. Power up the Sunbeam phone and perform the following steps:
  1. Press the Main Menu button in the center of the Directional Arrow key.
  2. Navigate to Contacts.
  3. Select Menu in the bottom left corner of the display.
  4. Navigate to Settings.
  5. Navigate to Import Contacts.
  6. Press the Main Menu button in the center of the Directional Arrow key.
  7. Select Import from Internal/SD.
  8. Select the files to import from the MicroSD card. These will be identified as .vcf files.
  9. Select the “All” checkbox to select all contacts.
  10. With the contacts selected for import, choose “Select”.
  11. The contacts are analyzed for duplicates, etc.
  12. After analyzing is completed, select “Import”.
  13. After this completes, the contacts are available for use on the Sunbeam phone.
Bluetooth
To transfer contacts using Bluetooth enable the Bluetooth function on both the provider phone and the Sunbeam phone. To enable the Bluetooth functionality on your Bluetooth phone, navigate to System > Settings > Connectivity > Bluetooth.
  1. Click or tap the Bluetooth option.
  2. Toggle Bluetooth to “on”.
  3. To pair the two cell phones, select the Sunbeam phone and using its Bluetooth application, look for the Provider phone. The identifier of the other phone should automatically appear in the “Available devices” list on the Sunbeam phone.
  4. Select the Provider phone from the “Available devices” list and press “Pair.”
  5. The Provider phone will send a “request permission to pair” to the Sunbeam phone before establishing a Bluetooth connection.
Once the Bluetooth connection has been established, navigate to Contacts on the Provider phone.
  1. Press the Settings button. (Note: This varies from manufacturer to manufacturer).
  2. Select “Share Contacts.”
  3. Select to share via Bluetooth.
  4. A notice will pop up on the Sunbeam phone. Accept the incoming file transfer.
When the transfer is complete, navigate to Contacts on the Sunbeam phone.
  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Select “Settings”.
  3. Select “Import Contacts”.
  4. Choose “Import from Internal/SD”.
  5. Choose “Internal memory”.
  6. Scroll down and choose “Bluetooth”.
  7. Select the “All” checkbox to select all contacts.
  8. With the contacts selected for import, choose “Select”.
  9. The contacts are analyzed for duplicates, etc.
  10. After analyzing is completed, select “Import”.
  11. After this completes, the contacts are available for use on the Sunbeam phone.
Messaging
To transfer contacts via Messaging, navigate to Contacts on the Provider phone.
  1. Press the Settings button. (Note: This varies from manufacturer to manufacturer).
  2. Select “Share Contacts.”
  3. Select to share via Messaging.
  4. Enter the phone number of the Sunbeam phone.
  5. Press “Send”.
When the message is received on the Sunbeam phone, navigate to Messages.
  1. Open the message with the contacts file attached.
  2. Select the “All” checkbox to select all contacts.
  3. With the contacts selected for import, choose “Select”.
  4. The contacts are analyzed for duplicates, etc.
  5. After analyzing is completed, select “Import”.
  6. After this completes, the contacts are available for use on the Sunbeam phone.
