Email Provider Compatibility

Here are all the email providers that have been tested, as well as any special setup tips.

Apple (me.com)

Emypeople (emypeople.net, abcmailbox.net, upwardprint.com, upwardmail.net, upwardmail.com and other custom domains)

Use your full email address as the username. Some domains require manual setup for server settings or to configure folders. Email Client Configuration Summary - eMyPeople
Gmail (gmail.com) 
Google Workspace (custom domains)Requires your system administrator to enable IMAP support for all clients.
Hotmail (hotmail.com) 
If this is a new account, make sure IMAP is enabled.
IMAP email providers

Most IMAP email providers will have the connection settings automatically configured. However, since not all providers have been tested, we would greatly appreciate your feedback on whether your email provider worked to sign in using autoconfiguration so we can add it to this list.
Microsoft 365 (custom domains) 
Make sure IMAP and SMTP are enabled.
Microsoft Exchange (custom domains) 
Ask your system administrator to enable standard IMAP support.
Outlook (outlook.com)

If this is a new account, make sure IMAP is enabled.
Proton Mail

Proton Mail does not support 3rd party IMAP email applications.
Yahoo

Works for both Oauth and app-specific password sign in options.
Zoho Mail 
Need to enable IMAP in the account settings.


Note: if you are using a company provided email address, please confirm if IMAP and Authenticated SMTP is enabled for your account, otherwise you will be unable to use a third-party email apps.
