Authenticator can connect to a Bitwarden or Ente Auth account, so your codes stay backed up and synced. Only one account can be connected at a time.
Connect an account
Open Authenticator>Settings>Sync Account and select Bitwarden or Ente Auth, then press Connect. Sign-in fields are locked while a connection is being made, so wait for it to finish before trying again.
- Bitwarden - sign in with your email and password, or with an API key. If you use a self-hosted server, enter its address first.
- Ente Auth - enter your email to receive a one-time code, then your Ente password.
Ente Auth sync is only available on some models, if your model does not support Ente Auth sync you can import the codes instead of syncing
Check sync status
The Sync Account screen shows whether your codes are up to date, syncing, or waiting to retry, along with the time of the last successful sync. To sync immediately, press Menu from the Codes list and select Sync Now.
Disconnect an account
Open Authenticator>Settings>Sync Account, select the connected account, and choose Disconnect. Codes are removed from your phone but stay safe in your online vault.
