A phone's performance may gradually decrease over time due to more data being accumulated that requires loading. Here are some easy ways to speed up your phone so it performs like new.
- Dial *SPEED* (*77333*) from the home screen. This will run an app optimization process to make sure all installed updates are performing properly. (Available on Pro and Horizon phones)
- Delete any unneeded Messaging conversations. An auto delete option can be turned on to effortlessly keep your messages loading fast. To turn on this option go to Messages > Menu > Settings > Delete old messages automatically. Here you can enter the number of days to keep old messages.
- Check if the phone has available storage. Open Files and check Available space under Internal shared storage. The amount of available space should generally be at least 500 MB or 0.5 GB.
- Install the latest Firmware and Software Updates.
- Restart your phone occasionally to free up any stuck processes and keep it running smoothly.
