If your phone does not have a data connection, the voice-to-text, weather and navigation features will not work. To fix problems with your phone not having a data connection, please check the following:
- Check if your cellular plan includes data. Please note that limited data plans that slow down or "throttle" data speeds after a certain amount is used will not work well with voice-to-text.
- Make sure Mobile Data is turned On and Data Saver is Off: Settings > Connectivity > Mobile Data.
- Check the APN settings here: System > Settings > Connectivity > Mobile network > access point names > and choose the correct APN for your cellular carrier by selecting the circle beside it. A blue-green dot will fill the APN that is active. You will then need to turn the phone off and back on to connect with the new APN settings.
- If your phone still does not have data service, you may need to reset the network settings: System > Settings > Phone Settings >BasicOS > Reset options > reset Wi-Fi, mobile and Bluetooth > press reset settings on the next 2 screens.
